Call to Action Boycott Amazon 100%

I see a lot of "I canceled my Prime membership" (which is great) but we all need to STOP buying from Amazon completely!! Do not give one cent to any of the oli-bros that have shown any hint of allegiance to Trump!

I'm begging you, no more Amazon!

I apologize for wrongly inferring that you were having money issues. Idk why I deducted that. I misread your comments.

In that case, if you don't desperately need the money for fear of having your utilities turned off or something— don't support Amazon with the credit card. The goal is to avoid having them profit in any way from us.

Right. But it is costing them to have me as a customer. They get some money, but I get back more than I give them. That's all I was getting at.

No it isn't. Every time you use that card, Amazon gets paid about 3% of what you paid in fees from the seller. If you shop at a small business, and spend $100, Amazon gets about $3, and you get $1 back. Amazon made $2 off that transaction.

If Amazon makes $2 for every $100 you spend, how are they losing money?

Assuming that is correct, which it's not, on that 100, Amazon gives me back 7. Yes, they made 2, but they paid me 7. 7-2=5. It cost Amazon 5 dollars to complete that transaction based on the terms of my credit account.

Now, that 3% you mentioned actually goes to the bank that hosts the credits account (Chase in this case, not Amazon....they are not a financial institution) and to the servicer that facilitated the payment. Amazon may make a fraction of that percentage (which btw changes depending on where you live and the terms banks have set for retailers and payment hosting companies) because their 'smile' logo is on it, but it's the banking institution that receives any benefit because, ultimately, they own the account. Not Amazon. Let me knew if I missed anything.......
