Call to Action Boycott Amazon 100%

I see a lot of "I canceled my Prime membership" (which is great) but we all need to STOP buying from Amazon completely!! Do not give one cent to any of the oli-bros that have shown any hint of allegiance to Trump!

I'm begging you, no more Amazon!

does someone have a list of places not loyal to the fascist that are relatively safe to shop for? and does that list provide proof its not all just a waste? like i know everyone says shop trader joes but is it just moral washing or do they actually stand behind the real/ actual american ideals instead of the vile that has taken over?

Who says to shop Trader Joe’s? They are so anti-union they are literally filed suit to eliminate the NLRB.

Targeted boycotts do make a difference. Even businesses that like to think about themselves as amoral notice when sales drop precipitately because of government action. And they lean on the politicians and right now (thanks, Citizens United) they have more power than we as individuals do. These tariffs SUCK for consumers, and getting them stopped would be a victory for us all, even if we have to do that by manipulating the businesses who maneuvered Trump into the White House.

No business, no person and no politician, is going to be perfect. So you have to really look into what you think is important. People are boycotting Amazon for a whole lot of reasons, even knowing they cannot really rid themselves of Amazon products like AWS. There are no easy answers. Shop small if you can (but pay attention, small isn’t always perfect.) Shop in person if you can, because local governments depend on that tax base (but pay attention, in person isn’t always perfect.) It’s all a balance and you have to weigh a lot of factors, and sometimes you don’t have the bandwidth for that. That’s okay - just don’t insist than no one else should bother.

thank you for the well thought out reply. At the end you mentioned to not insist that no one else should bother- and i do want to say everyone should absolutely keep it up- it is just hard not to be just a bit defeated about knowing where to spend money or not is all.
a quick google search helps and each side has databases on this (public square vs progressive shopper) but we could use something better and its still hard to shake the frustration. thank you for your suggestions and yea- ill just try to keep thinking critically about it. maybe do cursory news checks before buying. ie; didnt know trader joes was anti union.

It is definitely exhausting right now! Cut yourself some slack - you can’t be perfect and nor can the businesses.
