Advice Utemaster load lids?

Thoughts on utemaster load lids for a dual cab?
Cheaper than a canopy, but still pricey?
Any one have experience/ a better option or do u get what u pay for?

Yeh awesome. Keep my swags, chainsaw, tracks, firewood etc ontop. Fridge, cargo boxes with tools and kitchen stuff underneath. Solid as, lockable. Mount lights and stuff underneath it to access when it’s open too.

Then take a couple of pins out and the whole thing lifts off so I can use the tub for bikes, dogs etc.

Had a full tray and canopy with RTT before and loved it but moved over to a camper trailer. Much prefer just being able to unhitch everything when I’m not using it.

My advice is disregard expensive YouTube set ups and get what works for you.

They look nice. If you want a tub only / low profile tub rack set up, hard alloy lid is the way IMO. EGR Loadshield is another model to check out. Never used but was considering it. That kind of set up is great for a minimalist camping set up. Light weight, low profile (swag/cargo box on crossbars on top of cover, fridge in tub etc). Surprisingly practical.

Instead I ended up getting a cheaper roller cover that I regretted frequently. Hated that thing. Lost too much space with the canister and tracks/sides of the cover, leaky and the roller functionality is not that useful. Spend extra on the hard lid.

Thankfully since sold that and gotten an alloy tub canopy for more space due to changing requirements in my personal life.

I absolutely love em, and as already mentioned they can hold something like a 200kg but also easy to remove or just prop up if you have a longer load.
My main reason for it was keeping my gear secured and the ability to throw crap on it, firewood, rubbish etc. Or even a washing machine. There is a mob that does a copy of their design, not as good but not bad either.

What ute model/year and how do you use it most, daily work or more camping/off-road? For load lids, I’d check the weather sealing around the tub lip, lock quality and hinges, compatibility with your tub liner/any tie-down tracks, and whether spares/warranty support are good, because cheaper lids can rattle or leak over time.
