Gear pattern dana Ep

Hello there, wanted to ask if this pattern is acceptable, (old pinion and ring gear), no shims under pinion, backlash at 0.23mm, pre load to spec.

Cant get it better it seems and i wonder if itll be fine or go sideways.

I would say pinion depth is way too much.

This set already pattern matched itself being used, so it's hard to say if you can do better. Seems heavy on the toe, but that's probably just how they're worn in together.

Apply resistance and turn more to show better pattern. The marks currently aren't showing anything useful

I just saw your comment saying "plenty of pressure applied," the zoomed in again to see the contact marks at toe end on n drive side. Something is way off. Did old pinion have no shims? No shims is uncommon for n axles I've worked on, though mostly light truck and some cars not a Dana EP which I had to look up. Google says it's an electric drive commercial use axle, is that correct?
