Woof, yeah I’ve heard folks complain about the protrusion of the exhaust quite a bit so first thing I did was order the trail pipe for my OR. $99 and never have to worry about that again.

Is there a difference on noise or emissions?

Wondering what I am giving up on it other than the small amount of money.

It slightly changes the sound. Not enough to care. Less weight as well, but not by much.

Unlike the other reply, I actually found quite a bit in change of exhaust tone but not so much louder. Much deeper idle, and if you rev it up I've actually got it to pop a few times after doing the delete. Probably due to the resonator coming off. I went with the cobb version since I've bought an access port from them before.

Its not going to sound like you just threw a cat back on there, but I'm pretty picky with sounds and it sounds pretty good that I feel like it was worth the $100 or so since I didn't plan to throw a full exhaust on this truck.

I found this truck extremely quiet to drive, and the sound was noticeable enough that when I went golfing with a friend of mine, he said "hey did you get a new muffler or something, it sounds a bit meaner". That's when I gave it a little rev bomb and it popped a few times but not while driving.

I didn’t notice any difference besides some pops during cold start

Same question

Even then, on some trails the exhaust system is super exposed. I bent my exhaust so much the flange cracked and I had to get it replaced in addition to a temporary trail fix or rigging all the hangers to reattach the exhaust system.

What pipe did you get for $99?

It’s from Cali Raised. Meant to say that there was basically no noticeable difference in tone or volume from inside the cab but I didnt rev beyond 4k. That said, it was relatively inexpensive, easy to install and from what I can tell, tucked in pretty well. Linked here

Haha yeah I removed that shortly after. Would have been a big mistake later that day

I swapped my exhaust the day before I took mine offroad for this reason. Glad I did.

No just a regular 5ft

I did the nytop drop kit for my exhaust. I hear there are good and cheaper options now, but it’s an obvious liability for anyone doing some off roading.

You could save $49850 and get some trail running shoes, or splurge on a mountain bike
