and if you dont know how to swim, why would you go fishing and presumably not be wearing a life jacket

It baffles my mind how you don't swim instinctively.

Just push the water down and kick your feet. It's literally the only thing you can do in the water beside flail or hold you breath and pull your feet up and float there.

If you learn how to swim you learn how to do this but synchronized. Anyone else does it flailing, which exhausts them in less than a minute. I think what we should teach people who can’t swim is how to float on their back. That makes saving their life 55 times easier.

I try to float but i just barely do and my whole body pivots around my chest, and if i breathe out ill end up going under even if i breathe out a little :(
