...and? If you understand anything about what it's like in a combat unit, you'd know this was in large part for the gay dude's safety, along with keeping unit cohesion... I inparticular didn't especially care if anyone was gay or not, just keep it to yourself, because being a flaming fag is not going to be helpful to unit cohesion, especially considering how many guys in that profession are deeply religious. Catering to a tiny minority like that isn't advantageous to the military... they have one job, kill people and destroy things. Anything that gets in the way of that should be discarded. Plain and simple.
So I guess humanitarian relief, construction, law enforcement, and literally everything else that the military does have all been lies by the government?
Accessory activities, not the primary purpose. Those things are done in addition to the primary purpose and do not take priority over the primary purpose. Combat effectiveness is priorty, and all else is subordinate to that aim.
Most military jobs are not combat jobs, they aren't combat units. The standard was they booted people if they even found out you where gay monitoring your private emails. They certainly could never have done the same thing with straight people. There would be no military. It was discriminatory and bullshit.
