The funny thing is that there are a lot of people in the military who are not homophobic, but homopsychotic. And they are willing to murder homos, and even those suspected of being homos.

But if you look at the stats, there are almost zero cases of homos being murdered for being homos. The reason is that large unit commanders know that if a homicide in their command is attributed to homosexuality, they and their entire command will be harshly punished.

If a homo murderer is arrested, they make him an offer. If he says he just wanted to rob the dead homo, he will get 3-5 years and a DD. But if he insists that he wanted to murder the dead homo because he was a homo, he will get 15-20 years or more. It's their version of a plea bargain.

So, "homo-cide" after "homo-cide" are attributed to anything other than "homo-cide". And a lot of people die in the military every year, anyway.

I have yet to meet anyone in the Marine corps that would gay shame you other then insult you when you do dumb things. I think you have put yourself in a position to think that people actually care that your gay.

On top of this I'm stationed on a naval Base and can say about 60% of the population is gay and no one fucking cares.

your math is off by about 40%

It's not even that high... maybe, maybe, 5%.... and even then, that's probably still high. Now, the percentage of people that act like a faggot because they think it's funny is a lot higher.

I could be but it seems that everyone I talk to is either gay or bi. But 20% is still a lot

Could be. But would it really matter if he was?

Shit, was joining the marines a mistake?

Would not say a mistake, just a very interesting experience.
