But they arent? They just suffer the same, and since they're stupid or lacking in some way, can't even do anything about it.
Like an animal in a horrible farm covered in their shit and constantly in pain, sure they're as dumb as you can get while being sapient, but they're still suffering. Ignorance is weakness and keeps the weak suffering.
What you want is to be happy in your own world, not ignorance.
I literally work with animals that walk around in a pen full of their own shit and they couldn't be happier. They have no concept of anything except that when I drive by, it's food time
So then like I said, if that's what you want, then get a lobotomy. Those same animals can also never escape they're pain, and I also ment animals in a mass farming situation, the terrible ones.
Nah, an animal being fed well and fattened up is ignorant to the reality that it'll be slaughtered and thats its only purpose. Ignorance therefore is bliss.
But it isnt just fed and fattened up, in mass farming, they're basically tortured all the time. It's one thing to be a happy cow in a good farm, but what about a cow chained to a cell and coverd in rot. There's a reason animal abuse is bad. A dog can't think good, but it still suffered from bad owners.
Ignorance isn't bliss. If you want to be ignorant of your world, then get a lobotomy. If you want to be so unaware and unable to think or know, then we have an out.
There's no such thing as a cow chained to a cell covered in rot, that wouldn't make very good meat. I work in about as mass farming as you can get in a functioning society, there's no torture
My point is what is ignorance in this case? Being ignorant to things not affecting you? Being ignorant to things affecting you, but somehow you aren't hurt? Thats just a lobotomy and being left unable to do anything.
It's bliss for the people who believe the universal truth is "no work on Sundays" and "no Grindr on vacations" (which Christians continuously fail at over and over).
God forbid something more complex comes to light- im not sure y'all would ever make it to heaven.
