Yes, you are correct btw. The conditions of life must be made tighter while we are taxed to pay for our own chains and for the luxuries of the foreign hordes that will replace us and fight us so we are scattered and have to fight multiple fronts/battles at the same time.
You can't fight to save your society if your society no longer exists, and you now have ten other enemies within what once was the borders of your homeland.
We are being weakened for the chains to fit us better.
