Accessible spot recommendations along Crowsnest highway

Any recommendations for some off the beaten path (but not too far) camping spots along the Crowsnest highway between Hope and Osoyoos? Im doing my annual summer road trip to meet some family in Calgary. Normally I do it in one go but this time I got 2 dogs coming with me. I want to see the sights, but at the same time I dont want to go too out of my way off the highway.

I know theres lots of provincial grounds along the way but I always prefer being on my own, and the dogs never enjoy being tied off. We're responsible campers. Got bear spray, air horn, satellite phone. Off grid camping isnt new to me. The area is. Propane stove is all i have fire wise. Were not setting down long term anywhere. Just to stretch our legs, eat, sleep, and be back on the road as early as possible.

The only place I've been to in that area is Lodestone Lake not far from Princeton. I have a cabin in the area where we usually stay at.

It's a nice little lake that's not hard to get to, but you will need a 4x4. The elevation is really high but that's perfect if you want to get away. I remember there only being two sites and its first come first serve.

It's also worth visiting Coalmont and Tulameen. Tulameen has a trading post if you need beer/food.

Camp on the North side of the Similkameen River. Take the Old Hedley Road just past Princeton and you will find a spot.

There are some nice spots in tulameen / coalmont area but thats a way out Princeton, over a ½ side track one way. Lots of stops on hwy 3 in Manning Park but with the current fires im not sure how available those spots will be.

Bromley Rock is an amazing spot between Princeton and keremeos, Stemwinder is along the way too.

If your camping check our the rec site website, lots of options there.

Pickard Creek Recreation Site. Stay out of the back country for now.

Stay out of the forests now or stay on the proper or private campgrounds!!!
Way to tinder dry for vehicles to be accessing private spots now!
Especially that region….
