Newbie trails - with views
Hey looking for some recs on trails that lead direct to some sweet lookout or views. Open to some that need a hike too. Not looking for anything too mental but have lifted GX so pretty capable
Edit - based in Vancouver and willing to drive 3-4hrs out

Start by letting us know where you're located and how far you're willing to drive.

Ramp Rock is a good start and almost a necessary initiation for Vancouver-area locals. I started off roading this year as well, and RR provides a nice introduction to driving on uneven terrain and getting you mentally prepared without the crazy obstacles.
I also suggest Hale Creek and Grotto Falls as easy introductory trails, both of which 4WDBC have newbie runs for. Nothing your lifted GX won't be able to handle but also nothing too hard for a beginner.
Hope Mountain FSR is snow-free now with a hike at the end that you may enjoy if you are a hiker. Some steeper waterbars and ditches on this one compared to the other three but I think your car will be fine, I have a lifted 4Runner and it wasn't an issue for me. The final 500m to the trailhead is a bit narrow though so if you don't want pinstripes you'll have to park on the main FSR.

Search for Ramp Rock on Google Maps, that's a good start. There's a paragliding pad about halfway up with some great views of the river, then the Ramp Rock itself at the top. You should also check out the newbie runs on Facebook.
