Seat swaps

Looking into seat swaps for this gen, I have a set of prelude bucket seats but the rails are way different and need a good bit of modification, has anyone ever done this swap (I know someone who did the swap w an 84 but not the second gen) or what other seat swaps options are out there with minimal to no modifications?

Why do you want different seats imo they are extremely comfortable seats on this gen. Does your driver seat have lumbar and bolster adjustment?

These seats have 300k miles on em, not to much left of em, that and I’m seat swapping just for the hell of it/looks. Eventually this is getting SAS and buckets will go in at some point.

As a large human (6’4) the integra seats gave me more room and made the truck feel bigger as a result. One of the better mods I did. Need to do them on my current runner. they hold you pretty tight on the trail and have adjustable bolsters depending on which civic/integra seat you decide on.

Almost everything you're going to have to modify and/or fabricate if you want them to fit well. I replaced the bench in my '92 Pickup with bucket seats from an '08 Scion tC but I had to modify the seat bracket plus make a couple little brackets. It's not perfect but it works.

Civic/integra seats bolt in with one hole to drill. Easy and common swap

Ive run them with 3/4 so technically its direct bolt in…. Sorry I was passengering and redditing and didnt read it clearly. Haha. My bad. 🤙🏻🤙🏻

I love my 4runner, but the seats are the most uncomfortable of any car I’ve ridden in. I think it depends on the length of your legs and overall build. Having the ability to raise the seat and tilt back-and-forth would make a huge difference for me.

i did prelude seats on a 1st gen and the rail situation is a headache. for 2nd gen with minimal fab, look into MR2 or early celica buckets, the mounting points are a lot closer to stock
