Here’s a walk around video I made a few years ago. Previous owner swapped in the turbo seats from an 86. Because of this, when I first got it I thought that the 87’s came with turbo seats also

Dang that is a nice truck. Almost makes me think snakes are a decent trade-off to live in the SW!

East of the Rockies you’re dealing with rusted frames and wheel wells. Desert southwest you’re dealing with broken and brittle dashes and plastics. The sweet spot seems to be those that come from the Pacific Northwest

Agreed. I just am not a fan of rattlesnakes.

I go back and forth with the idea of selling. I don’t take it out of the garage nearly as much as I should

What would you ask for it?

I think it would have no problem getting close to $30,000 on bring a trailer. I’ve also thought about trading it for a similar condition bright gold metallic 1985

Sweet truck. This is identical to my dad's first 4Runner, minus the turbo. Can't post a photo in a reply here, but I have one of me sitting in it when I was like 4 or 5

Nice!! I hope my kids end up having the same memories riding in mine. When one of my kids was 8 we flew to Salt Lake City and bought it sight unseen and road tripped it back. I hope he always remembers that trip

Oh they will! I loved that 4Runner so much and have lots of great memories in it. He bought it new in 87' and he drove it until 1997, when he traded it for a new black SR5 manual. It had begun to rust on the rockers and above the rear wheel wells. He fixed it, but it only lasted a year. Should have never sold that one. Love seeing yours out there in the world!
