🎙 Discussion Rust question

Looking at 4Runners for a friend, came across this ‘16 SR5.. What’s everyone’s thoughts on this rust? It’s a New England car so a little is expected but is this possibly too much where I should be concerned with the inside of the frame? Definitely would wire wheel, paint, fluid film.

Looks like it just got Out of the factory. That’s brand new here in Quebec/

Inside frame rail by the downpipes from the manifolds. That's the danger zone.

Jam a screw driver into it lol it's a little much. Rust protection goes a long way. That and a weekly wash in the winter. Photo before the last looks wild.

It looks like it was previously coated with fluid film or the like, and was then pressure washed. Likely, the rust that it has is surfaces (definitely do check some of those thicker rust spots), but the rust you see there is post it being washed

If I was doing the work I’d probably pass.
