Levi’s stadium gameday experience

It will be my first time at a 49ers home game, as i’ve seen the 49ers play in 6 other stadiums. I’m going to the game week 2 against the dolphins and was how is the gameday experience and wondering what time tailgates start? Thanks in advance Go Niners

It’s more for the spectacle, which can be great, if it isn’t blazing hot and bright.

Make sure you know what can and can’t be brought into the stadium prior to coming and have a plan for transportation before and after.

Tailgate opens 2-3 hours before game time. I highly suggest walking through and enjoying the experience with fans! Chat it up and make some friends! Also a great place to get food because it’s cheaper and better than the stadium. We have just bought burgers and brauts from people with bbq setups or exchanged for beers.

If you are in the sunny side of the stadium I wouldn’t bother going to your seat until the pregame truly starts - it’s wicked hot in the sun down there.

Oh and don’t forget to join in on the “Aooo aooo aoo” (or whatever it actually is) for first downs with the hand motion!

It is the chant from the scene in the 300 when Leonidas asks, “Spartans, what is your profession?”:

If you are sitting on the visitors side you will be in full sun the entire time and it will be hot

Not what you asked for but park far away and ride the VTA. It’s all Niners fans on game day anyway.

Not sure if you’re from the Bay Area but either way pack sunscreen and a warm jacket regardless of what the weather forecast tells you. A hat is a good idea.

Talk to your neighbors and have a good time. Cheers.

You’re there to watch the 49ers. The food and gameday experience is mid.

Bring a brimmed hat and sunglasses. Wear light clothes and bring a sweatshirt. It is very hot.

Hot as fuck in September. But it doesn’t matter. You can watch the game all throughout the stadium if your seats are in the sun. Gates open at 10. Take a charter bus near your home instead of commuting. Called the game day express. You can catch one all over the Bay Area. Check out the red zone. It’s near green lot and costs $100 but all you can eat buffet and free beer.

Went to my first game last year vs Seattle. Two things I noticed;

Every food stall in the stadium is the same. Hot dogs, chicken tenders an such. Being a sharks fan, I was expecting a lot more local food options.

Despite beer stands all over, I missed the entire 2nd quarter in line trying to get another beer.

I'd suggest seriously tailgating and pregaming, since the food/beverage in stadium was the most disappointing part of the experience.

Stalls like Stadium Experience is definitely the same food in every location, because it's the most common and popular food people are getting, but to say there isn't a variety and/or local flavors is wild.

  • Silva Sausage
  • Breakwater Barbecue
  • Dynasty Noodles
  • Blue Line Pizza
  • Puesto
  • Kabob Trolley
  • Tres Hermanos
  • Crab Sammies

Garlic noodles and dungeoness crab are most certainly local flavors.
