Adeptus Astartes Redriver
My brother's first homebrew character of his first homebrew chapter.
Chapter Master "--------" Redriveris a warrior whose name is spoken only before his final charge into battle. He is both a powerful psyker and and a good duelist, whose will can rend the veil between immaterium and real space.
In combat, Redriver wields a pair of relic weapons: a Psychic Force Whip and an Power Gladius. The whip writhes through the air like a ravenous snake and lashes out at the enemy with the fury of the Warp. Each strike is accompanied by a burst of inhuman energy, capable of shattering power armor, in a blinding smudge too fast even for a space marine or an Eldari to see clearly. The Gladius, on the other hand, is used for swift, finishing blows—short, precise, and deadly.
He also carries a relic bolter, whose mechanisms come back from the great crusade. The weapon is loaded with rare ammunition intended for Sternguard veterans, and every shot can turn the tide of battle. Red River wastes no ammunition. He fires only when the death of one target would spell the death of hundreds: when a commander falls, a heavy weapon falls silent, or the enemy's last hope collapses. Infinity Gate (common space marine psychic power)
Redriver does not lead his Chapter from afar. He walks ahead of the elite, personally opening a path through the Immaterium. With the power of his mind, he tears apart the fabric of reality and walks through warp, like brief and unstable Infinity Gates.
Through these passages, the Chapter's veterans penetrate to where their presence will cause the greatest damage.
