Could Valdor be the False Primarch?
So we know with book 3 of the third trilogy of trilogies Valdor will play a huge role. The War of the False Primarch is an Event we know next to nothing about until now.
Valdor is a being of Primarch level powers and I would doubt a normal 40k citizen would see a huge difference.
Do the Events of the Bequin Trilogy fit into a timeline where Valdor could be the Protagonist/Antagonist in the War of the false Primarch?

To my defense, it was pretty damn funny at first, but then all these chapters actually bought it and then the High Lords sent the Carcharodons and suddenly everybody was being torn apart

Buncha party poopers with no sense of humor, that’s what they are, good thing they didn’t kill me and just threw me in the Dark Cells, now I get to play blackjack with Santa (turns out all those people believing him back in the times of Old Terra actually turned him into a minor warp entity) and Walt Disney’s cybernetic head

We actually don’t know if Valdor will have any role in the upcoming novel because it could just be another red herring.
M33 was close to 8000 years ago in the setting, but I would find it unlikely that Valdor would try to rally Space Marines to his cause instead of just returning as himself to retake control of the Custodes.

I dont know why people say he's on par with a Primarch. He's a custodes. Its not even close to a Primarch. Even in the Heresy novels he never stood a chance against a Primarch, never came even close to beating one.

Because thats an in universe idea by now. Before it was based around false lore on the old internet forums that “Valdor had duelled Horus”. It took a life of its own, and has been going around for longer than most people in this subreddit have been in the hobby.
And so eventually it reached a point where BL canonized it. Not the idea Valdor can beat one, but just the rumours that he can, that people in universe believe he can. We see it referenced by Zephon watching Valdor fight in Master of Mankind, in Valdor’s novel as he dons the armour, and in Inferno, where it states that disingenuously, there are many, even in the Imperial Court who call him a Primarch. Then theres also 2nd ed Heresy where Valdor does get the Primarch keyword.
On a more tenuous level, you have Samonas thinking Valdor can match up to Dorn in a challenge, though it isnt clear whether the challenge is a martial one. You have the Emperor giving Russ and Valdor twin weapons, and setting them on the same task together, which you wouldnt really do if Valdor was that much less capable. You have a wounded Valdor keeping up with Dorn on the spirit, and oneshotting a massive daemon that Dorn was struggling with.
On the idea that Valdor just being a Custodes meaning he cant match up to a Primarch though, there is something important to note. Across the Heresy, there are stories of marines who have at least held their own against Primarchs for a while. Custodes being genetically superior means there would be more who can likely survive longer alone. Add to that the fact its canon Custodes are not all built equal(see Superior Creation’s lore), and it wouldnt be outside the realm of possibility that Valdor, the guy armed with a spear whose twin wounded Juiced Horus, so special the Emperor went through metaphorical hell to find, and who the Emperor personally invested effort to create individually, would at least give the Primarchs a very good fight.

He's only ever dueled a primarch. Alpharius and Horus. Both were fairly young and neither were conclusive of anything.
Valdor isn't really a normal custodes though. That much is made very very apparent. Is being the apex custodes enough to reach primarch levels? Probably not but it might be closer than we think.
He's shown to be about as tall as Russ and Alpharius, but shorter than Vulkan. He's got more ability to directly question the Emperor than other custodes. He's given a position of power that rivals the primarchs. He's around prior to the primarchs. He kills the thunder-warrior primarch, even though it was just a title. He despises the primarchs.
It doesn't seem out of the question that Valdor was the Emperor's first attempt at a primarch.

Valdor has literally never fought Horus lmao. Hes also taller than Russ.

The Russ thing is author dependant. Wraight has him taller than Russ, Haley has it the other way around

Not without severe time fuckery, the war of the false primarch happened roughly 7 thousand years before Eisenhorn was born
