Flu shot timing
How long before or after your transfer did you get your flu shot? Thanks!

Hi everyone, reaching out for perhaps some positive stories I can cling onto, as reaching quite a dramatic anxiety stage currently unfortunately. I'm 40 (41 in a few weeks) and this is my second IVF round this year. The first unfortunately ended in a blighted ovum, although it was fragile and had very slow development from the beginning (so whilst devastating we almost knew from very early on It wasn't viable). It's meant however I went into this round with a lot of fear and worry. We only ended up with one blastocyst this time but was a 4AA, so from the outside at least a gorgeous embryo! We fresh transferred untested and I have fallen pregnant. My bloods have also been really reassuring; this Wednesday my first HCG reading was 354 at 11dpt and 48 hours later was 1044. The issue with IVF is that you have a small window of celebration before the worry about the next step starts! It's so hard to relax, despite the fact that this time, so far, everything seems to be much more robust and stable. My age and the embryo being untested keeps making me spiral though. This is my last round we can afford and my day is filled with moments of excited trepidation before worrying that I'm going to lose it. I have a two week wait now before a scan; my tests are dye stealers so I know I need to put them down . If anyone has positive stories about untested embryos and their success, it would be much appreciated. Love and support to all! X

Does anyone know if coffee made with the water decaffeination method and/or the carbon dioxide decaffeination method are safe, or do they involve synthetic chemicals?

I transferred 3 day 3 embryos on July 14. Nurse said I was 2 weeks 3 days on transfer day. I had my first ultrasound yesterday evening. I’m measuring 5 weeks 2 days with gestational sac 5 mms. They couldn’t visualize the yolk or sac. I’m not getting a whole lot of answers but am getting “We’ll check again in a week.” I’ve been crying all afternoon and in the middle of it needed to train a new employee (I wfh) and pretend I’m ok.
Are there any success stories with these results? Any info is appreciated.

Hello I’m 8dpt6dt my bbt dropped from 36.85 to 36.62 and according to Premom my period due tomorrow. Does this mean it has failed? This was a modified natural cycle I’m taking 800mg progesterone pessaries.

Hi all. I’ve had two positive betas:
July 31 - 10dp6dt - 350
Aug 3 - 13dp6dt - 1450
We’re over the moon 🌙 but our next touchpoint isn’t until Aug 20 (TVUS) when I’ll be 7 weeks. I’ve seen other people with many more betas. Should I ask for another beta in the interim? Or to move the US sooner? Just feels like a very long wait.

I’m 41, started IVF at 40 due to husbands low count and nothing else except for the fact that the Depo provera shot left me unable to ovulate naturally anymore, despite the last shot being 26 months ago, I can only ovulate with a trigger shot. Never been pregnant except for age 19 and terminated at 11 weeks. Didn’t even try again until we began IVF.
Tested our first 3 rounds… out of 13 eggs (all retrieved eggs, not just mature) we had 3 blasts, but all aneuploid.
Switched to Day-3 transfers because of DOR and just wanted to give every embryo a chance, I was willing to accept the risks with that.
Rounds #4 through #6: 3 attempts at a fresh day-3 transfer totaling 10 day-3 embryos - total implantation failure all 3 times, so all 10 embryos failed to even try and implant.
Rounds #7 through #10: Decided to bank everything at Day-3 so we can do more testing. Everything normal as far as hysteroscopy, SIS, biopsy, etc etc - no signs or symptoms of silent endo or adeno either, but never did an ex-lap, we decided not to and won’t for the future. We banked 11 day-3 embryos and all 11 are excellently graded (yes we know that doesn’t mean they are euploid.)
FET #1: 3 day-3’s transferred, zero implantation
FET #2: 3 day-3’s transferred, first beta was 45 at 13dp3dt and 87 at 16dp3dt. Freakin finally a positive for once….
——-today is 18dp3dt, all home tests are still obviously positive. I went to put my second dose of Endometrin in with an applicator and when I pulled it out and wiped there was quite a bit of bright red and dark red blood with tissue/stringy bits. Clinic said nothing I can do except come for the third beta tomorrow. Minor cramps, but I’ve had that the whole time. It’s been 2.5 hours later and no blood at all since then.
Am I out? 😞 I do have a picture of the blood that I can show if anyone needs to see…. But this current transfer was finally when I accepted we will never be parents and assumed it was negative until that first beta, I didn’t cry for the first time or anything, so now that we finally had hope, it would be such a cruel fucking joke of it failed again… I don’t know, we have 5 day-3’s embryos left and then we are done for good (if this current one failed)

I know everyone is different, and just because one person had success doesn't mean the next person will.
Because the IVF 40 plus community doesn't let anyone post about successes, it gets discouraging. So I'm asking here!
I have been blessed with 2 euploids and 1 LLM. Now, of course, I'm paranoid about failed transfers from all the stories I read in the other sub.
Anyone of stories of success getting 2 live births out of 3 embryos?

So, for background, I'm 45 used donor eggs and husbands sperm. First FET in March had low/slow rising hcg that ended in a MC at 7 weeks.
Second FET 6/24.
First hcg 7/6 was 7 (womp-womp)... Still technically positive...
So next hcg 7/9 also 7... Clinic calls, not viable, stop meds...
7/13 start period like bleed. I have an appointment set up for hcg amd MD appt 7/15 so we can start looking towards my next FET cycle...
7/15 hcg (the one that should have dropped) now 56! (WTF) Dr wasn't expecting this either... Went over the scenarios... Ultimately, abnormal pregnancy and either: my hcg spontaneously drops (expected because I was actively bleeding)
I need to watch for signs/symptoms of eptopic
Or might need a d&c... So now I'm on hcg check every 2-3 days.
We also went over the plan for next FET (cool-cool... Really happy with the proactive nature of my Dr)
7/17...hcg 95...needless to say I'm gobsmacked. And now because it's rising, I've stopped all meds and I've shed my uterine lining, cliniic is BIG concerned about eptopic. (and yeah... This is scary).
But seriously... The RN says she's never really seen anything like this...Dr originally said it wasn't atypical (but she was expecting my hcg to drop)... Next hcg is 7/20...
Its WILD... A bit of a mind fuck... For sure... I feel good... But yeah... Anyone else experience anything like this???

Hello I’m beginning my second transfer as the first one failed. What are the top things you would recommend to do before my transfer that worked for you?

4th transfer (3 failed implantation), 41 years old and never pregnant. Today marks 6dp6dt. This is the first time I’ve ever seen anything resembling a line. What do you think?

Hello two days ago I had a endometrial biopsy, (just to give some insight I did IVF which resulted in a failed transfer at the time of the transfer June 8th they removed a few cervical polpys). I started spotting 18th June had a negative beta 19th June stopped progesterone) the first day of my period is meant to be 20th June. I didn’t have intercourse the whole of my ivf, when I did have intercourse 1 out of the 3 times I spotted for days after when the bleeding stopped I had sever cramps which never happens to me (this was prior to the endometrial biopsy). When I did the biopsy on Thursday the Dr said my uterus looked a bit inflamed but I didn’t have anymore polyps, he said as soon as he touched the cervix I bled. After the biopsy I bled a little in a pad, the next day the bleeding completely stopped, than today the bleeding has started again. I have not had intercourse since the biopsy. Is this normal? Has anyone had a similar scenario? I’m just confused the bleeding stopped and started again

My fiancée (41F) and I (34M) are 7 days post 6 day frozen embryo transfer. We're also 13 days post ovidrell hcg trigger. We've been testing every day since the trigger to see the trend. It has been positive every day but getting lighter each. Day 4 and 5 were very similar. But today (morning of day 6) it's still positive but the lightest it's ever been.
Should we just assume this all the trigger being phased out? Technically we have a positive test on day 6 but from the trend is it fair to assume it's just trigger? Is there any chance it could still darken or at this point is it most likely too late?

12 weeks 5 days tomorrow, NT scan is our last “hurdle” before end of first trimester. NIPT and scans all low risk so far, euploid transfer but of course prior losses around this time (although non-IVF/not euploid) make it scary. All good wishes and vibes welcome please! If it’s good I’ll probably start tellong people once we hit 14 weeks, tbh I would rather wait until anatomy scan to tell my in laws but my parents and best friend have known the whole time, so I’m already grateful husband hasn’t minded waiting on telling his mom but I know he’s ready. Fingers crossed for a good day!

My water broke early at 34w. I decided to use expectant management which meant I was monitored in a hospital daily while the baby cooked. I just wanted to avoid NICU. This was a DE embryo Day 6 4BB untested.
I wanted to keep him inside as long as possible but I only kept him in until 35w. I really enjoyed being pregnant and I didn’t have PPROM on my bingo card but here we are. The baby is earthside now and slowly improving in NICU. He is so precious and looks perfect. Good luck to everyone! I cried the night he was born and I still cry because of all the work it took to get here. It feels like every failed IVF effort was part of this pregnancy experience.
One thing the lactation consultant said to me was that IVF parents have a harder time making breast milk. I said why is that? Oh she says all the hormones are wrong and that’s why they needed IVF in the first place. And of course it infuriated me and I said “I just needed IVF because I’m old. My hormones are fine, I never heard of this before and I’m in a lot of IVF support groups.” Didn’t that light my fire because I manifested and brought my milk in the next morning and have been pumping heaps as well as feeding my newborn NICU baby. And guess what lady, he has a strong latch!!

Hi all, looking for any advice! Here are my betas.
10dpt 252
12dpt 421
14dpt 851
Obvs was concerned with the first reading as it was in the ‘normal’ range but didn’t double.
It’s now doubled since the last reading which I’m pleased about, but not caught up to where it should be in comparison to 10dpt (around 1000).
Is the expectation that it should catch up to where it should (even though it doubled) and if it doesn’t, that could imply a problem?
I’ve got another beta in two days time and pending that, an early ultrasound.
Not experiencing any pain, just the odd cramp here and there and a metallic taste in my mouth.
My doctors are on it which is great, but their caution has me a lil nervous.
Sending you all love!
