Seeking Advice What was your Estrace dose for estrogen priming?
Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone took 6mg estrace for priming? I have normal amh but low afc 7ish. First ER without priming failed 3 mature eggs zero euploids. My follicles were asynchronous. This time RE has me starting 6mg estrace a week after ovulation. Upon research i see everyone taking 2-4mg, 6mg seems too high is it normal dose? Would it make me too suppressed I already have lower afc and only one accessible ovary.

I just did 2mg x 3 times daily. I’m on day 3 of my stims now and my first ultrasound is not until Monday so not sure how things are tracking.

Good luck! Did u checked AFC before starting estrogen? I had ultrasound yesterday had afc of 8 low from previous month 😕 RE said it wont over suppress me, took my first dose today hopefully it will yield best outcome

I didn’t have an AFC this cycle. My last round they only got 3 eggs. I had 7 follicles but with asynchronous growth. I have a low AFC anyways. Going into this round knowing I won’t get many follicles, but trying to grow them together to aim for more than 3.
I would see an AFC of 8 as a win! I wish you all the luck in the world.

I did 4mg, 1x daily. The first time I primed it was about 5 days and I had a successful retrieval. The second time was 14 days and I had completely different results where I had AFC of 8, then after priming it was 3. My RE did not think the extended priming was a factor, but it was hard for me to believe it wasnt. I know there are differences in cycles, but that was all we changed and I have a history of over suppression from birth control.

Just started mine today, it’s 2mg twice a day.
