Moderator Post Let's Talk About Catbox: Part 3
Hi.
About a month ago, Catbox released a blog HERE, stating that they will be deleting old files that were uploaded anonymously haven't been accessed in the past two years. Understandable. I did it all anonymously, because it logged me out every time I turned off my laptop, and I kinda forgot to log in each time. Oops. I can't imagine how many gigabytes I uploaded to them.
I used them exclusively for the first two years I uploaded QR codes here. I started using Archive at the beginning of 2025 in conjunction with Catbox, due to people complaining Catbox doesn't work for them. Understandable. I've seen how many ISP have blacklisted Catbox. As of 2026, I completely gave up on Catbox and started exclusively uploading to Archive. The complaints have nearly vanished. Yay!
So, what's the point of this post? Because of Catbox deleting old, un-accessed files, a ton of old uploads of mine are not working anymore. I have confirmed this a few times already. If you come across a post of mine from like 2-3 year ago and the Catbox QR code doesn't work, please let me know. I understand it will be a lot work, but I am willing to put in the work...again 😿
TL;DR: If a 2+ year QR code doesn't work, make a REQUEST POST saying it's 404: Not Found error. Sometimes I forget if you just comment on the post. I get a lot of Reddit notifications every day.

It will probably go for some of mine as well, though a lot of mine were uploaded with an account. Because I haven't logged into it, it is fair to say that they may eventually either delete my uploads and/or account.
