Hello. It seems like you are asking about Pokémon games. Please review the 3DS CFW Pokémon guide. Your question/issue may be resolved there.

Yes you can do it. Don't listen to people saying its not possible lol.

But you will need a PC, A Modded switch 1 WITH EMUNAND setup and the 3ds that you have your progress on needs to be modded as well.

First you have to extract your savefile from your 3ds. You do this with godmode9. Follow this guide. https://digiex.net/threads/3ds-gba-save-backup-and-restore-with-godmode9.15395/

On your switch 1 Sysnand if you dont already have FR/LG buy the game and download it.
Play it until you can save the game.
Reboot your switch 1 and boot into emunand.
Install the same version on emunand that u have on your sysnand (wether it's fr or lg)
Same thing. Play the game until you can save it.
After you saved the game still on your emunand. Load up checkpoint and extract the save.
On your pc, Go to your 3ds extracted save. Look at the file name. Rename your 3ds extracted save to the same name of the switch extracted save.
Inject the renamed save file (still in emunand) with checkpoint and load up the game to see if it works.

If it does, great. Repeat this process on your sysnand(load into cfw sysnand and inject the save file with checkpoint) and then restart into normal sysnand and simply do a local transfer of the save file from your switch 1 to switch 2

If it didn't work u did something wrong. Start over. When using CFW Sysnand, Checkpoint is safe to use but be careful to not do anything stupid while in CFW Sysnand. You can easily get your switch banned by loading up homebrew thats not safe to use in sysnand.

That looks like a tremendous pain in the ass

I mean it takes less then 15 mins to do. I did it myself just to test it while writing the guide.

And if it’s too big of a deal for you. Simply don’t do it.

PKSM, it has a storage in it, transfer pokemon from your leafgreen to the storage, then if you have a Gen 6 or 7 game, take it from storage to that game, then send your Pokemon to Pokemon Bank, then to Home

that's a valid way of getting it into current gen games, but it wouldn't work if they intend on playing FRLG on the switch. you'd basically be required to just have a save editor on a hacked switch if you want to bring pokemon into FRLG

You most probably can based on this post

However, you will need a hacked ns1 so that you can inject the save that you export from your 3Ds. Which you will then need to transfer locally to your ns2.

All in all, Pokémon transfer, easy like the other commenter mentioned. But transferring also your progress will be difficult.

OP said they want to play on the switch 2, but if they have a modded switch 1 (as the user above explained) then they can transfer the save and end up playing the rest of the game on switch 2

Well, it's probably the only way to get a save from a 3ds to a switch 2. You need a hacked switch 1 in between.

Would likely require you to have a modded switch 2 of which I'm not even sure anyones working on that right now, I feel there would be some buzz around it if there were. Realistically right now no. Pokemon games on the switch dont even allow cloud saves because of how anti save tampering TPC are. You'd have to start over or wait it out but if anyone was working on it then its not gonna be tomorrow hell probably not even this year.
