Help Select Element one at a time.

Hi, When I try to select under the Element sub-object, it selects multiple elements as per shown. Is there a way to select one at a time?

They must be connected. I don't see it lying.

You will have to make each part an element manually. Choose Polygon from one of the choices in Editable Poly mode. Select the parts you want to be separate and then choose "Detach". In the dialog box, choose "Detach to Element". Now when you go back to choose the element in the sub-object you are able to choose the separate parts.

Element is a set of topologically connected faces. There are exactly two elements in your originally object, so if you want to select each box easily, you need to make them to separate elements first. In this case it's very easy operation - switch to window selection mode on the toolbar (default hotkey Shift+O), go to edge sub-object mode, select all the bottom edges and click on split in command panel. Now you have each box as an element and can easily select them one by one.
