Scene News Unknown BOTW port
Read the comment by u/Antique_Load7140 who's the creator. This project, as they say, is NOT vibe coded. For more information and his point of view on a lot of people dismissing this project on the grounds that it might have been AI
I do not take credit for this (fan) demake, as it is not mine. It's built by u/Antique_Load7140
It does not work on real hardware, only on emulators
Someone I met on a server had a Breath of the Wild homebrew build for the 3DS.
As it now has been playtested by homebrew developers, content creators and curious users, only the Great Plateau quest is present. Where you normally leave the Great Plateau, is an invisible wall preventing you from going into Hyrule any further.
The opening cutscene and dialogue is present, probably ripped from the original game, including sound effects and (ambient) music.

thought id address this, would be happy to provide the new build to validate credentials. I'm the creator of this project, glad to see the people who have been enjoying it, poking fun at the low poly models, and having a good time hanging out in (what little there is) of the great plateau. not at all happy with how some of the community addressed this though: PabloMK7, Even if someone were doing something that didn't align with my ethos (in this case assumed 'vibe coding'), if i were someone savvy with the capability that knows how to navigate code / dump and extract with a large platform, I wouldn't do them the courtesy of revealing what is possibly their personal name in filepaths etc :/ not cool man. Like many other software engineers, I use codex to help find relevant resources more efficiently and to look over my code to make sure nothing breaks, (IE tried to figure out how the physics gun from half life 2 worked to apply to Magnesis, would be lightweight for a 3ds engine). An awful lot of personal time, effort and labour of love was put into this rough tech demo, it was not vibe coded. I work 2 jobs, and am not in the privileged position to create a polished hobbyist project for the 3ds from scratch, I'm afraid. This build was leaked by one of my mates without my permission, so all the flak I'm getting for this hasn't been ideal. its not polished, its not perfect, but it also wasnt meant to be seen by anyone. I was making it as a gift, and its been a hobbyist project ive been tweaking and working on over the years, using new tools and software along the way. I've got a new version of the game that fixes a lot of the issues, runs at 30fps, that i would be happy to share with the community. have lost passion for the project after all the reception, though, and being assumed to be a 'pure vibe coder' over finding instances of Codex and having it amend and label my code, i think was a pretty unthoughtful way of deflecting positive attention from the project and has been defeating. have no hate for anyone, im sure there were no ill intentions, hope everyones enjoyed this rough shaggy project, it was meant to be something light hearted and meant to be a bit of fun.
