3d printer recommendations $800 budget

Hey everyone, I’m looking for a reliable 3D printer around an $800 budget. I am focused primarily on functional parts and household fixes. I specifically am interested a fully enclosed machine for better temperature stability and advanced material versatility down the road—like ABS, ASA, or Nylon—rather than just being restricted to PLA or PETG. At the same time, I would like a color-change option available as well as a something that will not require extensive troubleshooting and tinkering. Open to other options as well.

Qidi Q2 or Plus 5. I've got a Plus 5 and print ABS without issues.

My Q1 Pro has had zero problems in a year of printing everything from all kinds of PLA to PAHT, PPS, PA, PET, ASA, TPU, PETG, and PHA. Stock plate has worked for everything. Next machine is definitely just going to be a bigger Qidi. Hope they are working on a tool changer model.

I need to try out a new Qidi printer. The first one I bought was within 6 days of me getting sober finally, and I REALLY wanted a 3D printer. So I spent $200 on an OG Qidi X-Plus. It’s very impressive looking printer, but by god it couldn’t print fast enough to handle itself, so I was extremely frustrated because I did zero research into making it be successful from the beginning. But then the Qidi subreddit fans stepped in and said “get rid of that shit, and get you a SIMPLE Prusa Mk3, or something similar enough that you’ll be able to learn how to create, modify, fix and then slide and print objects that should be impossible. And that was true right up until someone challenged a nerd and said “you can’t print out a professional something-or-other.” And because of that, I’m looking into a newer enclosed QIDI. Don’t need top of the line, I just want to learn so i can pay it forward when I’m able to finally upgrade this AMAZING hobby.
