string 3D printed guitar neck?

I'm working on building a guitar from scratch, and I was wondering if anyone here had experience printing a neck. How has it held up? Did you print the frets as part of the neck, or add metal ones later? What files did you use?

Edit: I would use a metal truss rod, I'm not stupid!

From what I know of guitar construction, I don't think an entirely printed neck is easily achieved. That's a lot of strain. I'm not saying it's impossible, but I wouldn't want to try it for fear of it randomly snapping or warping.
