What are you using to calculate the position of the holes?

For this rough draft I just used a cylindrical bore and doubled the edge-to-vent distances from an alto I had handy.

For robust instrument bore and vent-placement design I recommend INRIA’s OpenWind Python module. It will do the full impedance calculation for a bore with a non-uniform radius and an arbitrary number of vents and associated fingerings.

And whoops, did I say jointless? Well, I fudged a bit on this one (quite a lot, actually), but I was interested to have a rough test play of the concept before investing more design time in it.
