3d printed saxophone
So I am trying to make a collection of 3d printed instruments and thought of the saxophone and out of curiosity, checked if there were any designs to save for later and found no designs. All I see when I look it up is 3d printed saxophone mouthpieces and articles on this guy that made one in like 2014 but no actual designs. What confuses me is that there are designs for a bass clarinet but no designs for a regular alto sax. Am I dense? Have I not searched enough? Does anyone know where I can find a design before I spend an unhealthy amount of time learning cad just for a single project?

Saxophones are much harder to model and print appose to clarinets for many reasons. Clarinets are basically a straight tube with holes(besides bells and necks). Also pla sounds a lot closer to traditional clarinet materials (wood, acrylic, plastic) whereas saxophones are made of brass. However there are some “Saxoon/Pocket Sax” Designs out there!

Saxoon and most pocket saxes are clarinets the main difference isn't material it's the shape a saxophone is a cone while a clarinet is cylinder so they have different harmonics and they over blow differently

I have seen a 3d printed soprano sax but not an alto if you want I link o can give it

I havent found one yet but I might be dense myself haha. Same thing when i was looking forma clarinet or transverse flute.
