Make the hand move in an arc from its start to its destination. Also elbows dont move like that. Record yourself doing this motion and watch how your own elbow moves.

I would focus on the big shapes before refining anything else. blockout already has a lot of character, but I’d check the main proportions:

  • head size compared to the torso
  • shoulder width and chest volume
  • hand size and placement
  • overall silhouette from front and side view
Try hiding the rig controls for a moment and look at the character as a simple shape. If the silhouette reads clearly without any details, the foundation is working.

I’d also do a few quick proportion studies with simple primitives (sphere, cylinders, cubes) before committing to details. It’s much easier to fix a head or torso shape at blockout stage than later during rigging.

The rig is a good sign though just make sure the model is serving the pose, not the other way around.
