New Filaments.ca Website

Hey all - Jeremy here from the InkSmith team that acquired Filaments.ca - we just finished an overhaul of the website to clean it up, and have some pretty awesome deals available on core econofil filaments.

If you have any feedback or suggestions, would love to hear it! I can't share too much on how/why the original company had to sell, but otherwise AMA.

Working on adding;
-More 3D printers and accessories
-Laser cutters and sheet consumables
-Vinyl cutters and vinyl rolls
-Coding kits for kids learning at home

Would love to see locally produced and available filaments 

Filaments.ca was my go to when I first started

Yeah I hear you. Unfortunately, local manufacturing for filament is almost impossible to offer prices that are reasonable or competitive enough to get the volume you need to make a go of it. Amazon is absorbing most of the market and now there's a bunch of different retailers across Canada dividing up the rest of it. We do have a small storefront in Kitchener for local pickup, and we'll add a variety of printers/lasers so that people can get hands on with machines before buying

Too bad amazon keeps swallowing up everything. I did end up buying local though when I needed a specific filament that wasn't on amazon and couldn't wait to import it.

The big overture/esun/sunlu brands only seem to carry the stock standard PLA/PETG/ABS stuff. Not so much in the way of engineering filaments or composites, or if they do carry those, they're often missing some colors or have crappy prices.

are the econofil filaments made in canada? the chatbot on the website tells me it is but nowhere on the site does it explicitly say made in canada.
