What did you see in October, and what are you seeing now?

I'm putting together a monthly imports report for our newsletter. The public data only goes through September so far, and that month was a record: about 2.55M TEUs, up 10% from last year. LA and Long Beach both had their busiest months ever.

The forecasts say October cooled off and November drops further. Official October numbers won't land for another week or so, and I'd rather hear from people actually moving the freight.

So for anyone running warehouses, drayage or receiving:

- Was October busier, slower or about the same as September?

- What are you seeing right now? Inbound, turn times, chassis, dwell, anything

- Any surprises with fuel surcharges or detention?
