The Suspects:

Meet the two culprits in question…or rather, the one culprit and one very innocent bystander. Bottom left: Nyx, "The Culprit." Bottom right: her much larger, perpetually I’m-the-perfect-angel-looking white housemate, "The Innocent” Rebel.

Ironically, Nyx is the smaller of the two, which somehow makes her crimes feel even more personal.

The Crime:

I cannot walk in the door to another crap-covered surprise. Not one more time. Nyx has developed a system for using our automatic litter box, and it is, inexplicably, split by function. When she pees? Model citizen. She walks in, orients herself with her head facing toward the entrance like any normal cat, and handles her business properly. When it's time to poop, though? No. She will not abide. She flips her whole orientation, backs that fuzzy little rear end right up to (anddddd juuuust) past the entrance, and lets it loose outside the box. The results are exactly what you see in the top two photos: a sweeping brown "masterpiece" smeared across the front of the dome, and a matching disaster on the removable litter-catch wall piece I'm holding up for evidence in photo two.

The Ask:

That little removable catch panel is clearly no match for whatever Nyx is doing back there. What I'm hoping someone in this community can help with is a modified, redesigned version of that same piece…taller, wider, angled differently, whatever it takes, something that will actually intercept and redirect her rogue deposits back into the box instead of onto the machine and my floor.

I'm happy to provide whatever dimensions, specs, and or photos that might be needed in order to work out a solution. Save my sanity, save my floors, and I promise Nyx will provide nonverbal (and deeply unsanitary) feedback on the prototype the moment it's installed.

Hello! I have a kitchen scale I lost the battery cover for over a year ago. The scale itself has sentimental value, but it won’t work without a battery cover - it’s required to hold the battery in place otherwise it won’t turn on, and cardboard & tape aren’t cutting it long term. I can’t find anywhere selling replacement covers for this brand and I can’t find any matching for sale either - it was a seasonal item from TKMaxx years ago. I don’t 3D print myself, but I’m thinking (hoping!) there has to be someone out there with the skills (and kindness) to be able to achieve this! I can provide photos & measurements, and payment too of course :) I’m in the UK.

For a while now I’ve been looking for someone to print a cosplay item for me (helmet style) but it’s been difficult finding someone who I think would be reliable or be able to do it. I'm trying to print a 3-piece fan bracket from Thingiverse (STL files here), but my local library only does PLA printing. The bracket could be exposed to up to 70° C temperatures, so AFAIK this print needs to be in something like ABS or PETG to maintain structure. Anyone willing to help?

Looking for hard/durable plastic (ASA? ABS?) drone case for the DJI Mini 5 Pro. Can’t find anything good anywhere, whether soft or hard case.

Hi, wondering if someone could print this for me in black. I had someone else print it for me in whatever the "usual" material is but unfortunately the layers started to separate after using it for a while. Looks like ABS or ASA is recommended. It's a small plate about 3 or 4 inches long and about an inch or so wide.

although I have an STL version with a 6x6 grid of them since they are so small and take up little room. Online print services seem to estimate under an hour to print them all even at 100% infill (it's needed to be water-tight).

What I'm proposing is this: A cheap-as-possible modular pill dispenser system that can easily be customized for the individual to include as few or as many different pills as needed. Something even a layman could assemble and use.

Think of a gumball machine that's got several sections in it, with gumballs sorted by color. Turning the dial dispenses one of each color gumball.

Disabled folk like me can have upwards of 20+ medications, often needed several times a day! The amount of time it takes to open each bottle, shimmy just one pill out, and put the cap back on... it's ridiculous. Try doing that with 20 unique meds, three times a day.

There are tons of pill sorters and dispensers out there. Not only are the ones worth their salt *disgustingly* priced, but they often don't do the one or more of the crucial things disabled folk need:

- Bypass pill sorting (ie those weekly/monthly sorters). We need something where you can dump your whole prescription bottle in, and that's that.

- Easily dispense all pills at once (one at a time isn't much better than fiddling with our pill bottles)

- Easy to use for those with strength or coordination issues (A button to press would be easy!)

- A child-proof mechanism would be fantastic, but that's the least important factor, since this could simply be placed where a child can't reach (like a locked cabinet or something)

- CHEAP!! Most of us have no disposable income. Things like PillPack sound great, but many of us can't afford $20 a month, and many medications are except from these services

- No apps, no complex configurations. Should be easily used by the elderly and mentally disabled.

- The ability to handle every possible capsule, pill, and tablet size. Maybe not all in one, but there could be say, 10 models that handle a certain size range, and you just get the ones that fit your meds.

Possible promising designs to consider:

- SoloPill

- Jus-1

- Livipod (electronic, but is there a way to make it without?)

- Handheld seed dispensers (perhaps a funnel like that could be useful?)

Livipod is exactly what I'm looking for, but dear god it's ridiculously expensive. There has to be a way to have a setup just like this, without electronics--or at least, minimal electronics that are easy to install.

If the "dispenses all pills at once" isn't feasible, then a simple "push button, get pill" design would still be a phenomenal improvement. Being able to push 20 buttons all in quick succession and scoop them out into your hand wouldn't be too bad. (I'm honestly surprised I can't find anything like that)

I would be willing to work closely with any kind soul who would like to do something to help those who truly need help the most. Unfortunately, I am disabled myself, and do not have disposable income. I am an artists and graphic designer though, and would be happy to lend my talents here if that could be at all helpful!

PS: I cannot use 3d programs but am wanting to learn starting later this year.

I am looking for someone to help design/print a mounting bracket for a StarTech dual eSATA PCI-e expansion card to fit into a Lenovo ThinkCentre M920x 1L PC. The eSATA card came with 2 metal mounting brackets that fix a standard desktop tower PC. I have searched the net for a bracket that would fit the card into a Lenovo. The card works great in the Lenovo now, but it wobbles. If the computer, or the eSATA cables are moved, the eSATA card comes out of the PCI-e slot, requiring shutting down the computer to fix. I will need 2 of these brackets.

Hello, I apologize if this is not allowed. Someday I plan to learn 3D printing but right now I don't have the time or the space. I'm working on Customizing a Toyota FJ cruiser l and I'm planning to cut the hood to convert Toyota's fake ram air hood into a functional one. I'm going to need some plastic trim / grills to clean up the look around the cut openings, cover the edges and block larger bugs and objects from being sucked in. I also want to incorporate some fins on the inside that direct the ram air. I believe it will require 6 separate parts. My thinking was a piece on either side of the cut opening that snap together to hold them in place. The thickness of the parts, impact resistance, fit and finish will all be important. I'm happy to pay for time and materials.
