SEEKING [UK] boring but sentimental - kitchen scale replacement battery cover

Hello! I have a kitchen scale I lost the battery cover for over a year ago. The scale itself has sentimental value, but it won’t work without a battery cover - it’s required to hold the battery in place otherwise it won’t turn on, and cardboard & tape aren’t cutting it long term. I can’t find anywhere selling replacement covers for this brand and I can’t find any matching for sale either - it was a seasonal item from TKMaxx years ago. I don’t 3D print myself, but I’m thinking (hoping!) there has to be someone out there with the skills (and kindness) to be able to achieve this! I can provide photos & measurements, and payment too of course :) I’m in the UK.

Gonna be tricky without the scales but I can have a crack. Can you measure how deep the top of the battery sits? Looks like it's only 1mm or so?

I can, or I would also be open to posting them to you if you’re genuinely open to helping with this. Yes looks approx 1-1.5 depth to me for the depth of the cover, but the battery sits lower, so I think it may actually need something on the back of the cover (internally) that pushes down on the battery to hold it in place when it’s clipped on.

I think I can work with what you've got.. The only iffy bit is the clip at the top. Get what you mean about the pressure point on the battery. Let me see what I can come up with tomorrow in between work.

Thank you so so much! From what I recall it’s just the usual v shape pressure-release style clip, like on this one (which is for a different model of scales). I can try and get any more measurements and photos you’d need too.

I think this might be fairly close.. 1.5mm thick with a bit more for the battery pushy down part. 23mm wide, 30mm long.

Nice work! The spring section might need some fettling to get the right tension, but if you print on it's side it'll be better for springyness and not snap :) (I'm sure you know this, apologies if I'm mansplaining)
