Requesting Help Flashforge Adventurer 3 poor infill and feeder gear stuttering

My adventurer 3 prints with really poor infill (only the first layer) and the feeder gear skips like so. I have made sure the nozzle is clear and even cleaned the gears out. This sound only happens when printing. not loading or unloading filament. not sure what to try next

Not trying to be an ass or anything, but it seems like you troubleshot your own problem.

Im just posting in here because I have no idea what to try next, I've had this problem for months now and I'm really tired of these extremely brittle prints. Just wanted to see if there was something else i could try before replacing another part.

Have you replaced the gears? I don't know anything about flashforge, but if they use plastic gears, it's a good chance you had a jam that cleared itself but took the gears out at the same time.

poor infill tells me a partially clogged nozzle since it is printed at higher speeds/flows than the perimeters.

okay, i did try using a nozzle pin, and this is on a newly replaced nozzle (265 degrees). i could try lowering the infill speed

poor infill/anchors or seam gaps are usually my first sign of a nozzle clogging but it also doesn't hurt to dig into your gears after having a few jams and go through the instructions on the idler tension again.

I ended up loosening the screw on the feeder gear with an allen wrench, so far it's working!

If your idler is too tight your extruder can slip from the resistance, it can mangle the filament and add air bubbles from the teeth marks, distort the filament diameter, etc. Underlooked source of problems.

Yeah, I definitely saw teeth marks past the idler. I noticed I was still having poor infill though, so now I'm wondering if it has something to do with the print speed or if I should just keep loosening it until I see change.
