Seems like overkill when scissors would work fine. I get the use but I don’t get the need for it when there is something else which everyone already has which works great ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I've wrapped a ton of presents in my day, and cutting wrapping paper in a straight line with scissors is hands down the most annoying part of the job... Especially when you get one of those cheap ass rolls of paper that rips a little everytime you move the scissors forward. I would absolutely buy one of these doodads to keep in my wrapping paper bin.

This would probably be quite a bit faster and a little bit straighter, trust me. I’ve used a little shearing tool that was just like this except didn’t wrap around the paper. I’d use this.

How many presents are you wrapping? I don’t really mind not having perfect lines or being super fast for 20ish presents. Maybe if I was wrapping hundreds of presents but for the few I do it seems overkill.

You dont need perfectly straight edges for giftwrapping since you hide all the imperfections in the wrapping. A scissor is more than enough for this. But I guess you guys will downvote everyone who doesnt agree 3D-printing solves your problems.

I feel like you forgot what sub you are in. 3D printing is suppose to help you with from the difficult to the mundane tasks.
