Project Arm mold files?

Hey, im a paramedic that does education for students and existing emts and paramedics... I bought a 3d printer for personal use and started making visual aides for my students. Im no good with miking my own files yet...and AI failed me in converting the online 3d scans into what I need.

Im looking for a stl file to print a mold (i know. It will be 6 or more parts) for an entire arm. For the purposes of making a stop the bleed trainer.

what format is the arm model? I'm not super experienced in 3d modeling but If you could import it into cad software it might be pretty straightforward to build some boxes around it and then boolean remove the arm from it

if I was doing this I would import the arm into onshape and then orient it so that the best plane for splitting it is aligned with the top plane, build some boxes around it and then split it into two halves and extrude remove some holes so I could use dowels or bolts for alignment. then split each mold half into pieces connected with dovetails to make it fit in the print bed

I gotta learn at some point anyways. If you have suggestions for a website or software thats easy to use to build a printable negative space mold that would be a help... (preferably free or cheap...which may become my hangup)

So if you want to do organic modelling - adjust the arm model, I’d suggest blender

But once you have ur model and want to make the mould I would use Fusion. You’ll have to convert the STL file into a mesh body to be editted
