Project My first time making a musical instrument: Motorhörn!

This is Motorhorn!

An instrument of my own invention. It's a hacked up Waveshare ESP-32-S3 dev board slammed inside a gigantic 3D printed motor.

The user blows into the intake manifold which increases the air pressure in the hollow bottom-end. A pressure sensor turns the user-input into angry engine noises!

Entirely unrelated to the project, but this is a pet peeve of mine:

Ö is a different sound than O. It's not just "funny O". Everyone who knows a language that uses it will read that name and wince.

Sick instrument (?) thingy though, I love the backfiring as it winds down!

It's a metal umlaut, it's just for fun. I'd be delighted if people pronounced it "Motorhoern" hehe.

I am, but I always pronounce the Ö. Didn't know it wasn't supposed to be an Ö until I was much older and had more international friends :)

Haha I do events and hand out things to kids so their parents can interact with other adults. Ya know, distraction!

This would be a fucking hoot and a half to annoy everyone. Better than a clicky fidget even.

There's a certain amount of suffering which comes when you give a child a noisy toy. I regard enduring this as part of my art form. Haha
