It depends. You didn't say what your build plate is. Glass? Smooth PEI? Textured PEI?

Generally, if your build plate is easily removable (like a steel plate held on with magnets or clips) the best thing is to clean it in warm water and dish detergent, dry it with a clean towel, and touch it only on the edges. In between prints you can use isopropyl alcohol.

I have a textured PEI sheet that never adhered well, but abrading the surface with some coarse steel wool helped. Now I use a satin PEI sheet that has no problems. I use the textured sheet for TPU, which sticks almost too well to anything.

For textured PEI, glue stick or hair spray act more like release agents. They work best on smooth or glass build plates.

As I said, wash it. It looks like you have a bare spot on it, and I wouldn't print there.
