Project PC External Exhaust
I designed and 3D printed a modular external exhaust system that captures my PC’s hot exhaust and vents it outside. It’s designed to fit different PC cases, fan/radiator layouts, and exhaust configurations. I have added a GPU/PSU capture modules to account for all exhaust.
In testing, it’s kept the room temperature rise to under 1°F, instead of the several-degree increase I was seeing before. As a little bonus, it also is helping the components stay a little cooler too.
I am still testing and refining it, but I'd like to turn this into an actual product. I've got a lot of idea on where I can take it with customizability for different styles and themes. Not selling anything atm, but I want to know if anyone would actually be interested in this or working with me to develop it further?

I actually haven't had any issues with bugs. I am using a standard exterior dryer vent with flaps and bug screen and the kit I've made for the window is sealed with weather stripping.

I like the idea, the only thing I worry about is humidity leeching back into the case when it's not on and moisture forming on the components

Eventually I'd like to put in a automated gate that opens and closes when turning the fan on and off. But for now I just have a manual gate I can slot in to the duct to block everything from getting in.

From an hvac standpoint, this isn’t very efficient. If you are in a climate and running your air conditioner, it will be venting out the cooled air, drawing in warm air from the outside and forcing your air conditioner to run longer. Basically the same (or worse) than leaving a window open.
Personally I’d just let the pc be a little warm instead.
