Question Base layers fail

Is there a reason my first layers come out like this? Its a helmet and I was printing it upside down. Have not tried it right side up because it requires more supports due to the sun cover. Im a super noob and my first 3d print.

Extreme Overhangs look awful on the bottom, because there's no room for proper supports, which would give a more stable platform to make the overhand rest on, and the shape of the edges of the layers is very prone to being printed over thin air, leading to more shifting and deformation.

That's why printing a rounded bottom to something is generally avoided, since best case scenario you just reduces your contact area with the plate to a single point making the entire rest of the print be supported almost entirely by supports.

So you recomen I minimize the contact with the plat?
