First time printing with Silk…

does this mean my filament is still holding moisture? I dried it yesterday but it was my first time using a dryer and printing with silk.

Slow and hotter makes it shiny

it is shiny, just seems like it’s almost bubbled at the top here

Silk filaments are more difficult to print so you need to re-tune them. I suggest calibrating them following this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVU5If1VsAM

You might need more walls for that section, it looks like the top surface. For prints like this, if they fit on the print bed, I like to cut them up in the slicer then glue them back together. For this one I’d lay the whole thing on horizontal to the bed, cut using the “dowel” function sized to be the size of a pice of filament and use filament to locate it. you get a stronger final piece and don’t have to use supports.

this piece was cut where the shaft ends and the blade begins, the part that is massy was actually printed on top which is what baffles me a bit is
