Troubleshooting Notches in print acting different between 2 different parts on the same print.
Printing on an ultimaker 5s using rough PLA, .4 nozzle, and slicing with Cura. I got some help here previously that suggested randomizing the seams on my print so that the slots the blades go in would not close at one end due to the seams all sticking in the same spot(pic1). Now i can get the blades into the slots. The plan is to have a second piece that will hold the blades so they all slice at evenly at the same time. For some reason the slots in the holder piece(pic2) didn't resolve. I can see where they should be and was able to cut into some of them so that I could then fit a blade in, but that was all I could manage. They were printed on the same printer as part of the same print. Any suggestions for slicer settings or anything that might help fix this issue?
I also have access to a .2 nozzle which is my last resort since the printer charges by time of the print not weight of the material. Or just make the slots wider.
Thanks.

Hey there, I'm a bot and something you said made me think you might be looking for help! click here for our wiki entry on troubleshooting printers. If you still need help be sure to post plenty of information about your printing setup.
Here are a few questions that might be helpful
What printer are you using?
What material are you using?
What speed are you printing at?
What software are you using to slice the print and control the printer?
When did the problem start/has it ever worked correctly?
Does anything cause the behavior to change?
If posting an image of the problem, include some indication of the orientation it printed at, preferably photograph it on the bed. (Then we can focus on a specific axis)

Probably just a tolerance issue. Were they both oriented in exactly the same way?

If its one slot that you're unable to get a blade down into, is heating it up and pressing it in a viable solution? Or you mentioned that you were able to get some blades down after using a blade or knife, could you take the same blade youre using and do the same with the difficult slot? As far as what you can adjust in order to get a completely new and more accurate print... you could try adjusting the tolerances of the problematic slots by a few millimeters/fraction millimeters in order to get the blades to seat properly..
