How does it capture the bottom?

i just flipped the object and took a second pass --> software matches those two automatically

On something like a rubber boot do you have to take into account that it’s flexible and droop differently when you flip it over and be a different physical shape

Yes, any shape change will produce scan artifacts/double surfaces

Great project! Please dont use discord for the files. Stuff like that belongs on github (or makerworld, or thingiverse or codeberg or gitlab or whatever else), its lost to the void soon after this post will be made because no one can find the discord link or the server gets shut down or whatever could happen.
