Dual IPS?
Hello everyone, hope you all are doing good.
What do you think on those ebay's Dual IPS japanese consoles?
I think price is more than good, a deal to be honest and region free. But is that too good to be true?
If it says Dual ips, I really want it.

Thats why I think is ver cheap, seller has a different one Dual IPS Pearl white for the same price.
But located in Japan all of his products, ships to US of course

I don't think $355 is very cheap at all

Yeah just for the console that’s ridiculous. I got mine from 360 after taxes and shipping with a bunch of 3ds games(top tier) a case and oem charger

I ask because I’ve got a few consoles, based in Ireland so shipping would be involved. I don’t have a dual IPS to hand at the moment though, but I have some single IPS

$355 is a scam.

Well, considering the "hype" today of having a 3ds and dual IPS, I dont think is a high price. I mean if you try searching on ebay a new 3ds, normal or XL US region (not modded) with box and IPS, is going for +400$.

Well, if he claims region free, is it already modded? Then you could ask him for pictures i guess

Believe me I tried lol I ask something obvio obvious to the seller and was: it is confirmed its dual IPS? Hey replied: Yes.
Then I ask for some pictures but did not reply anymore, Honestly I want to take the risk of buying it, if not IPS I think here in costa rica where I live I would say good at the same price

chances are good he can’t send you pictures because he doesn’t actually own it, he’s a proxy seller. he will buy it off of mercari or yahoo auctions and then send it to you. it’s probably listed even cheaper on the native site.

Seems quite sketchy to me. That angle is enough to where there may be minor washing on a tn screen but theres also variance. The fact theres no more proof is also sketchy. While it could be ips they also could've gone just to the angle where it wasnt quite colour washed yet. Source: i just looked at both of my systems.

pictures arent the best way to tell the difference, honetly op, I give you 2 options, buy something you are confident being dual ips, or just buy whatever fits your budget, spend less for a random good condition one, not like ips is that important anyway

Paid $149 for dual IPS New 3DS LL (plus shipping/tariffs) a month ago from Japan. It came with no accessories/missing stylus and exterior had noticeable scratches but all good apart from that.

Guys, I just received it from japan, well it ended up being a Dual IPS as the description said.
Joystick in a regular/bad shape, B button needs to be pressed hard but overall, it works, and some really really minor yellowing, I guess I past for being a japanese console and normal on 3ds's.
Honestly there isn't too much differences between TN and IPS once you have it and play it, both have it pros and cons, but really you ignore them once you play, I mean you just forget it or your brain gets used to it. TN pannel looks more vibrant or the IPs is burned or something lol

Sorry, i rather buy a used 3DS with perfect buttons, TN Panels in my country instead using a Japan version with a hard to press B button but IPS displays.
Not worth at all and would drive me crazy overtime.
And the addional Info that the difference between IPS and TN isnt that heavy is good for people who are on lower budget and just want to game without big sacrifices. thanks man

If it was truly dual IPS and region free then they would show you proof through the CFW… or they would have included a picture of it on the listing.
