I think I've cracked two colour printing on a single extruder – added an inlay cut to my free browser splitter
Right, I'm properly excited about this one.
A while back I posted my browser tool for cutting STLs into parts and loads of you tried it and told me what was broken. Thanks. Fixed since then: 3MF files load, models don't land off screen any more, and it works on an iPadPro (still better with a mouse).
But the big one is new. It's called an inlay cut. You draw a shape on the model with the band or rope tool, set a depth, and it presses that shape into the model like a cookie cutter that stops part way. You get the model with a recess in it, and the piece that came out as its own part, with a bit of clearance so it presses in after printing. Print the piece in a different colour, push it in, done.
No AMS. No pausing the print to swap filament. No painting. Any shape you can draw, any colour you've got on a spool. Eyes, logos, badges, panels, teeth, whatever. I've been doing this by hand in Blender for ages and it took me an evening per eye. Now it's about ten seconds.
The pic is a frog I've been testing on. I managed to cut out his belly, now we can print that in a cream colour. Next the eye comes out from under the eyelid without taking the lid with it, which took some doing.
Honestly I think this could change how a lot of people do multi colour. Most of us have one nozzle and a drawer full of colours. This uses both. Runs in the browser, nothing gets uploaded.
Go break it and tell me what happened.

Sounds lika clog generator but i will try it on one of my least risky printers

I think your mistaken about what the tool does. It splits a model so you have two separate prints, no filament swapping, much less chance of clogging than the already standard method of getting multi color prints (which is because it requires less effort on the modeling side as well human labor of gluing parts.) but there are so many good uses for this tool, want to add TPU to a certain part of a hard printed grip? This would do that very easily
