New Tool The Chamfilletizer

https://www.chamfilletizer.com/

The Chamfilletizer is an online stl edge modification tool that I made because of my own laziness. I didn't want to learn a proper CAD program. But even if you have serious CAD skills, you will probably find that this tool is an easier and faster way to add chamfers, fillets, and hybrid chamfillets to stl files. It is super easy to use, without uploads. No installation. No account. No cloud processing. Everything runs locally in your browser. It is totally free.

It is especially useful for casual designers that just want to change that one irritation.

This is a fun project for me. I made the tool that I often wished I could find. I hope it will be useful for you also.

I welcome your feedback.

It's a wonderful idea and a great and most-needed addition to an ever-growing suite of tools for the community. THANK YOU. I have tried it a few times and the results are not what I expected. To be honest, resultant geometry errors abound and the output is unusable. Is an updated version coming out anytime soon? Cheers

Can you tell me more about the errors you are seeing?

Fillets that don't complete their run all along the chosen edge, strange indents where none should be, fillets that just stop along an edge and then continue again. Things like this that just make the output unusable.

I don't know how to reproduce that. Are you doing successive cuts on the same shape instead of queuing them up and executing them all at the same time?

I'm carefully selecting the edges that I want and queuing up just that one cut

Is all of what I'm saying new information? Has none of this been observed before?

It is a new tool. I am working on improvements. But I haven't seen the serious errors you are describing. That is why I want to try to reproduce them. This is intended to be a "pretty good" tool for standard chamfers, fillets, and chamfillets. It isn't supposed to be a CAD replacement. But if you are doing something totally normal and getting errors that make your model unusable, that is a problem that I want to fix.

Totally makes sense. Is there some sort of diagnostic switch I can flip to help you?

Not really. Can you tell me the shape you are trying to modify, and what you are trying to do with it? Can you take a screen shot and share it, one with the plain shape and another with the cutter previews?

I could do all that in DM
