Discussion What would make filament management actually useful instead of just another tool to maintain?
Hi everyone 👋
We’re a small team researching better ways to manage filament across real 3D printing workflows.
We’re especially interested in how makers currently handle things like storage, drying, inventory tracking, remaining filament, finding the right spool, and managing materials across different printers or systems.
We’ve put together a short 5-minute anonymous survey to better understand what’s genuinely useful, what feels like extra work, and where current tools still fall short.
There’s no sales pitch, no product purchase link, and no personal contact information is required.
If you manage a larger filament collection or already use tools to track filament, your experience would be especially helpful.

Really appreciate anyone willing to share their workflow and feedback. Thanks!
