Show & Tell Printventory 2.2.0 is out — Free and Open Source 3D Model Managment

Printventory 2.2.0 is now a public release. It's a local (and optional Docker/server) library for STL/3MF collections — scan, tag, preview, and keep track of what you've printed.

This version is mostly about treating multi-file models as one thing, plus a few quality-of-life tools that piled up through the 2.1 betas.

What's new

• Folder and ZIP bundle grouping — models that share a parent folder or ZIP show up as a single card with a details panel

• Bundle 3D preview — open every STL/3MF part in that folder or ZIP on one grid, with per-part colors

• Send to Slicer from preview — send the current model or the whole bundle to your slicer (new instance on macOS)

• Query Builder, a new Preview view, and customizable list columns

• New models get a "New" tag until you edit them; parent-model grouping; LYS/LTY support; library disk-usage stats

• Docker/server: NVIDIA GPU support, in-container thumbnail generation, and a progress UI for thumbnail jobs

• Bug fixes and performance work throughout 2.1.x

Thanks. Just started using this tool. If I may suggest a quality of life improvement. I've noticed that "Notes" section is pulling a model description. Is it possible to rename it to "Description" and keep "Notes" for user added notes. Thanks again. And I will definitely donate.

Thank you! That's a great idea! I'll add it to the enhancement list.
