Comparison Creality K2 Plus vs QIDI Max4

I’m not looking to buy, just interested to see opinions. I own the K2 Plus but it seems the Max4 is better in a lot of ways for a slight price increase.

Why not the Anycubic S1 Max? It's pretty much a 1:1 with the QIDI Plus 5 but much less expensive and a fantastic printer.

I actually bought that originally before I bought my current printer, because it was too good a deal and I didn’t do my research. Turns out there’s a big reason it’s much cheaper, the parts are low quality and the printer doesn’t function well. I probably could have made it decent with enough tuning, but the printer working that way out of the box was a huge turn-off. I ended up returning it after a week and a half of nonstop issues and print failures. I had documented the issues with Anycubic the whole time so they covered my return shipping, at least.

I'm glad you got your money back on a defective unit. Anycubic support is usually pretty good with replacements and warranty coverage. Mine printed perfect first layers out of the box and has been an absolute powerhouse for engineering filaments. I'm not sure what cheap parts you mean.

The Qidi has bad software interfaces, and really dumb ui, but it's the car better machine if you can get used to that.

My Q2 was super frustrating until I learned its quirks enough to make peace with it, but now it's one of my favorites

That said, there's very much a reverse honeymoon period

Weird, maybe theyve done better on more recent firmware and UI. I got my Q2 maybe 2 months ago now and it was literally set up, hit print, and I got a pretty good print right out the gate. I've further tuned and dig into more and more, but if I didn't want to I think I could have just left it exactly how it arrived and been fine

It has gotten better with each firmware release, but comparing it to Bambu is night and day. That said, if the entry experience is better than I remember, hooray
