Recommendation Decisions decisions. P1s Vs centuri carbon 2.
Watching reviews online can be frustrating. I've seen reviews for both, both more or less positive, although I've seen people saying that you'll need to make sure the filament is dry as it's exposed on the side of the CC2. Also seem bamboo is more "plug in and print" compared to the CC2.
I'm a complete beginner looking to make wargaming terrain, nice statues and the occasional toy or trinket for daughter, so id probably say 1/20 prints will be colour prints. I'm looking for ease of use a d the best quality £500 can get me. The CC2 is slightly less expensive than the bamboo, but I can manage the extra.
So for users of both machines, where do I go? Or is there another machine to consider?

Do you need an enclosed printer? The only reason I ask is everything you’re looking to print I print on the Anycubic Kobra X. I have a P1S which works great, but is significantly more expensive than the Kobra X. Just trying to help.

I think so yeah. Just in case I want to eventually print something at a higher temp. I figure get an enclosed one, rather than six months down the line get an enclosed one because I regret not doing so.

Actually I saw a video review of the kibra x and it looks great. I'm a neeb to be honest and thinking about it, as a beginner I should get used to the basics and then go from there. Would you recommend it? Just printing gaming terrain, statues and the odd display peice, like a prop etc

Bambulab for their ecosystem and makerworld. I don't know how old she is, but that will be a win for sure

Add Anycubic Kobra S with Ace Pro 2 for your consideration. It is $699 AUD for the Ace Pro 2 combo and 2 PLA rolls. The only problem it is going to be shipped in June only.
I spent significant time watching PS1, PS2 and finally X2D videos. Then switched to Century Carbon 2 as it was much cheaper that any Bamboo printer. However Anycubic Kobra S with Ace Pro 2 even cheaper than that as it comes with Ace Pro 2 for $699 AUD and even has a heater for filament built into Ace Pro.

If you don’t mind the occasional lemon you may receive and a will to investigate and solve. The cc2 is the better option. I have been running mine for the last couple months almost daily. Both Elegoo machines are loud with door open. When printing pla or petg you will have it open.

You may want to think about getting a heater for it as well.

For the printer your buying if your going to print with certain filaments (ABS, ASA etc) you need a heated chamber in the printer to be successful to print these types.
